Updated: The Cold Email Benchmark Report (Added Content Insights)

Overview

The benchmarking report below is designed to help you understand how your current cold email performance stacks up against the billions of emails we’ve analyzed across ~50k active inboxes connected to Lavender’s Email Coach.

For this report we pulled a sample of the most recent 231,818 cold emails analyzed as of February 4th 2026. This analysis excludes automated replies such as out of office (OOO) and bounced email notifications. It includes both positive and negative responses.


The outputs are organized by the recipients' department, their seniority and industry. You can use the filters on the table to see different segments and sort the values.

You'll also see content insights (available for departments and seniority). This is a summary of what we're seeing work and not work for email content with the segments.

You may find you’re above averages. You may find you’re behind. This is all normal and should be taken with a grain of salt as no one offering is the same. Ex. Plenty of teams on Lavender see double digit reply rates with room to improve even higher by sending more A emails. Lavender’s analysis of your inbox is the only true benchmarking.
